So, 2010 is almost over and with the release of the new album coming up, I think we can start talking about a 2011 (world?) tour.
Today the Hurricane festival announced The Sounds are playing there. If it doesn't clash with school things and I have enough money after Rock Am Ring, I may get a day ticket to the festival. Maybe even a weekend ticket, since the whole lineup is kind of awesome.
Also hoping for a tourdate in Holland. And a tour in the US, since most American fans haven't seen TS in a loooong time.
They always do a lot of shows in Germany! The last time they were in Holland was back in 2009, so if they don't come back anytime soon I may have to travel to Germany again like last year. They should just come back to Amsterdam. Or Utrecht. Any city that is in the Netherlands haha.
@ Steph you should definitely go to Hurricane if you can. I was there in 2009, it's a great festival :D
Edit: Ugh, I was hoping TS would play Hurricane on the 18th, the same day as Blink-182 so I could persuade a friend to get day tickets. Now I may have to persuade her to go the entire weekend. :')
I'll definitely go to all shows in Holland and maybe a few in Germany or Belgium as well. I also would like to go back to the UK somewhere this year, it'd be great if I could combine that with a show of The Sounds. Big plans, now I just need the money ;D
I really really really really wish I could go see them in Europe and be all groupie like. I hate money. Everything should just be free. Things would be easier.
The Hives are playing Hurricane/Southside. Again, I would get the chance to see my two of my favorites. verrr nice. TS are playing on the 18th & 19th, The Hives are playing the 17th, 18th & 19th. ^-^
Hives are great you would never understand their awards for stage charisma unless u go to one of their shows
and the sounds are right fuckin up there too must be a sweden thing to bust ass for your keep
i was gonna catch all ohio, nyc, chicago, Milwaukee and P.A shows so thats atleast 4 concerts i dont give a shit that my friends hate them i will go by myself and get trashed and passout in my car
The Hives may not be The Sounds, but they are brilliant <3 Saw them at Rock Am Ring this year, one the same day that The Sounds played. That was so perfect. They should tour together!<br /> By the way I don't think The Hives are playing the same festival twice in one year ;) Probably just an error on their website.
Aye, good point. I've never been to Hurricane so I'm not sure of the setup lol. The Hives still hold on to the title of the Best Live Band in the world, and many critics still affirm that. They have the CRAZIEST shows I've ever been to; the last one I was DRENCHED in sweat and I even injured myself badly from jumping so much. In addition to being badly stabbed by a broken drum stick that was thrown into the crowd, I literally could not walk for almost a week because my hamstrings were so badly torn. Totally worth it. I've been a fan since 1999, and I even still have a Hives sticker on my car. I have signed Hives stuff all over my room, and I even own one of HPA's ties that's signed by the band, even a used Chris Dangerous snare head that he played on and it's all signed. Love those guys with all my heart, they always make me smile with their antics.
lol Jessica yes they should tour together. It can be called the "Sexy Scandinavia Tour" haha I too love TS with all my heart. They've done soooo much for us fans, it means a lot. How many bands honestly do what they did back in June and invite us all to those private gigs? How many bands even care about their fans apart from telling them to buy their shit?
You guys are getting me excited. I look forward to meeting a lot of you next year and seeing some of you guys again. I like how TS fans are pretty chill and drama free. Most fans of other bands always want to measure d!ck$ its annoying. Its like hello we are all fans we are all the same. Amazing bunch of folks. I would really like to catch a European date. I need to meet Nadine.
I can't wait for the new album and a new tour now.
Also, I don't think The Sounds have ever played a headline show without barriers here. I was always in the front row, pretty much glued to the stage ;D
