Drummers Log!
______________________________________________
Well after Johan finished writing his piece in the journal the last time, he and some of the other guys went in to the city and partied all night. I felt kind of beat from being out in the sun all day so I stayed behind in the bus where bad news suddenly and unexpectedly appeared. Yes it appeared that a thief had paid a visit to our tour bus, and Greg's (our backline guy) BMX was now missing! Despite a search party sweeping the area several times it still remained missing. Presumed stolen. It was a green-metallic sweet little ride that I myself have borrowed on several occasions and have very fond memories of..., anyways, the show must go on, and next up was Scranton, PA.

As I woke up in my bunk the next morning I heard voices that I at first didn't recognize. Slowly I started to remember Jesper waking me up in the middle of the night to clear out a spare bunk for some friends that were going to stay for a couple of days.
When the guys had gone out partying the previous night they had met up with our good friend Andy Carlson and his friend Alison, and they were going to hang with us until we came to NY.
We exited the bus to go and have some lunch and when we came out we were pleasantly surprised that it was actually a bit cooler than the last week or so, or maybe a little less hot is more the right way to put it. Anyway the show went great and to see Andy dance himself crazy on the side of the stage just gave me even more energy.
After the show and the signing at the merch table we quickly packed up and headed for New Jersey, our manager John and his wife had invited us to a BBQ at their house. We got caught up in bad traffic though and got there pretty late, but it's never to late for a BBQ so John fired up the grill and we all had ourselves a lovely feast. Even Sam the bus driver was there! Good times. Showers were much appreciated too...

Andy and Alison took off in the morning to go back to the city but within the hour Jake, Andy's roommate, and another good friend of ours had taken their place. We usually get pretty restless from time to time on tour so it's always nice when friends visit us. And also sometimes you don't have any free time to hang out with our friends so its sort of the only way you can hang out.
Another good show, and as always NY offered us a great crowd. We then sweated our way through the heat and another signing and interviews, before gathering our stuff and heading for Manhattan. Oh yeah and another good friend by the name of Clark from the band Action Action also came out and said hi.

After a well needed shower and dinner it was time to go to Misshapes where Johan, Jesper and Felix were set to dj. We were now also joined by Jespers brother Johan who just flew in from Sweden. He also is going to stay with us on the bus for a while. I think this was a great introduction for him, his first night in NYC. The dj set kicked ass and everybody loved it. Cheers! Good times. When we later returned to the bus we were met by the bus driver and our tour manager laughing their asses off watching two drunk guys trying to help each other into a cab.
Time to go to bed, got another show tomorrow.

Some Racetrack in Englishtown, NJ
One of those days that seems like a hundred others, you do the same stuff everyday, seems like you eat the same food too...and watch the same tv show...I don't know sometimes you just have a bad day. It happens.

DAY OFF
We had a business lunch in NY and went to a store to try out some clothes. That took most of the day so I didn't have time to do my laundry.

Today - Charlotte, NC.
Today was a great day! We got a pretty late time slot today so we really had a lot of time to prepare for the show and because yesterday was a day off, we were extra eager to play. The show was awesome, today's show was probably the most fun I've had all week. Good times. Even though being on tour in this gruelling heat can be hard at times, today's show was one of those reminders of why we do this thing in the first place, 'cause it's fun. Because there is nothing else we would rather do and we wouldn't change it for anything in the world.

Next Up Virginia Beach (I think)

Greg's bike looked like this, but this isn't it.

The bus, our current home. The bus driver calls her "The Lady".

Our gear, resting comfortably, an hour before show time.
